Making the Right Decisions

It can be a confusing and challenging time when you are making decisions for yourself, or a loved one with a terminal illness. Feelings of uncertainty in choosing the right options are normal for such an important and emotional decision. This is where KeystoneCare Hospice, comes in. For more than 20 years, we have been helping families navigate the difficult hospice process in the Greater Philadelphia Region. KeystoneCare Hospice’s services are designed to meet individual needs. From comprehensive hospice care in a patient’s own home, in an assisted living or skilled nursing facility, or at Keystone House, we are equipped and staffed to provide the specialized care you and your loveds one expect and deserve.

Care at Home

Hospice care received in the home, gives patients and family members the peace, comfort and dignity of remaining in warm, familiar surroundings, with the closeness of friends and loved ones. Care is focused on pain management and symptom control.                       home health care

This approach allows each patient to continue routine activities as long as possible, and encourages family members to be present and participate in patient care. Most insurances cover KeystoneCare Hospice services, medications, and durable medical equipment, necessary to the comfort of the patient.

Care at a Facility

Some patients are already in assisted living or skilled nursing facilities when the hospice care need arises. In these cases, a patient’s physical and emotional comfort is often tied to preserving the familiarity of their surroundings. Our KeystoneCare Hospice Care Team can provide specialized care, in place, while cooperating seamlessly with facility staff, and services of the area’s many assisted living and skilled nursing facility.

Care at Keystone House

Keystone House is an inpatient and residential hospice

There are times when care cannot be managed well at home, and residential care services at Keystone House offer the comfort and support of a home-away-from-home. Located just outside of Philadelphia and neighboring Chestnut Hill in Wyndmoor, Keystone House is a warm, comforting inpatient/residential home that allows residents, families and visitors to experience the warmth and comfort that everyday companionship can bring. From delicious, chef-made, “home-cooked” meals to holiday celebrations, our Keystone House Care Team works to create a day-to-day life experience for comfort, socialization, and dignity.

Specialized Hospice Care

Our hospice staff and volunteers are specially trained to respect and honor the lifestyles, relationships, religious values and traditions of each patient, their families and loved ones.

Spiritual Support

We are sensitive and open to the ways in which patients and families may embrace their faith, as they continue their journey through terminal illness. Our staff rabbinical chaplain offers a spiritual resource for hope, compassion and prayer to people of all faiths.

 

KeystoneCare’s professional staff providers are fully licensed in Pennsylvania. KeystoneCare conducts thorough background screenings, including Pennsylvania criminal history and child abuse clearances.
